Spring Awakening

Spring Awakening explores the sexual awakening of adolescents and the tragic cost of paternal oppression. Frank Wedekind’s play was sensational and shocking when it was penned in 1891, and today it still challenges and exhilarates audiences with its mix of irony, scathy social commentary, fantasy, and melancholy.
