About the Show
The Southern Italian folk music and dance company, I Giullari Di Piazza, celebrates the Italian Winter Solstice – the darkest night of the year – with excerpts from Spider Dance, featuring wild tarantellas and musical exorcisms. The cast includes Alessandra Belloni (vocals, dance & tambourines), Joe Deninzon (electric violin), Mark Mindek (stiltwalker), Carol Knopf (aerial dancer), and more. The performance is followed by a holiday dance party.
