The 37th Anniversary celebration of the Saeko Ichinohe Dance Company presents a program of five pieces, including two world premieres. The performances include The Way (World Premiere), performed to a percussion score, and Jeff Moen's Kabuki inspired piece (World Premiere). Also included are Fire-Eating Bird, Pearl, and Oiran. Founded in 1970, Saeko Ichinohe Dance Company is among the pioneers of those presenting multicultural choreography performed by a multi-ethnic group of dancers. Its mission is to employ dance as an interpretive medium inspiring mutual understanding between diverse peoples and cultures, bringing joy of movement to all ages, cultures and socio-economic groups.
