About the Show
War-torn Belgrade: hell on earth. How to survive when all the choices are profane? Led by deejay, “Bog,” (Serbian, for “God”), 8 characters fight to grasp some kind of truth amidst a sea of propaganda . Nudity, music, and God-willing, some laughter. Poppies is a satirically poignant look at a critical moment in American global interference.
Poppies is presented as part of the 2007 New York International Fringe Festival.
