Amidst the daily flood of news headlines from the Middle East, Zohar Tirosh’s solo performance examines young people’s lives in Israel. It explore the temperament of soldiers as human beings who have to endure personal turmoil despite a country being torn apart. Taking place between 1994-1996, Pieces takes the audience through three turbulent years of the author’s life–a journey from her artistic pursuit in New York City to military service in the Israeli desert. Struggling to hold on to a dear companion she left in New York, Zohar searches for hope amidst conflict and loss.
