About This Show

Othello is one of the greatest characters in the Shakespeare canon. Directed by Robert Francis Perillo and presented by Jambalaya Productions, a multi-ethnic company of 15 brings to life the Shakespeare tale by examining Othello’s role as an outcast. Sexual jealousy, racial politics and betrayal figure prominently in the story of a great general, a foreigner of color in a culture which does not fully accept him, who is brought down by the jealous rage of his ensign, Iago.
