New York City
One Nation Under is a combustible new play that asks us to re-examine our relationships and personal politics in these uncertain times.
Conservative Judge Arlene Stanton is making her way to the Supreme Court. Meanwhile, her rebellious, hacker son heads off to Iraq with a certain military contractor firm. Arlene, using her position, begins to pull strings to provide special protection for her son. Her actions inadvertently set off a collision course involving herself, her son, a lesbian law clerk, a charming power player and a struggling black family from the Bronx. How far will Arlene go to protect her son and what effects will her actions have on those around her?
This thoughtful and high energy new play paints a wild and intense portrait of contemporary America, where the political is all too personal.
