About the Show

nowhere/now-here is a devised piece born out of the collaboration between Audrey Ross, Samantha Hoefer and MounaRmiki. The piece is directed by and created out of the collaborative work between John Gould Rubin and Kat Yen.

nowhere/now-here centers itself around the experience of the immigrant artist , gathering both confessional autobiographical material, and quotations from all sorts of produced material (poetry, plays, songs).

The framework of the piece plays around the idea of time, dividing it in past, present, and future. The piece in fact was born out of the urgency of a limited time in which the actresses of the piece would be present in US territory, struggling to stay, or wanting to go.

The piece uses movement, imaginary, audience interaction and multilingualism as narrative devices to recreate the sensations of the world of the artists.
