About This Show

In a visually stunning production that includes large and small puppets, and an enormous Grandmother Earth, we follow the character of Nanabozho, the trickster hare, whose fearless, sometimes dimwitted impulses have unpredictable results. Our unlikely hero is called from the arms of his Grandmother Earth to embark on a dangerous mission where he encounters hostile frog demons, amicable beavers, and a bevy of spirit women. The world we have inherited appears to have been shaped by the combined efforts of various sources, including wise benefactors, evil beings, and a willfull, capricious buffoon.
