About This Show

Classic Theater of Harlem presents Euripides’ tragedy Medea in an adaptation by CTH artistic director Alfred Preisser. The show features an all-black cast with eleven tattooed, body-painted Corinthian women who use song and dance to reinvent choral passages. Broadway and screen veteran Arthur French is featured as Kreon, with Harlem resident April Thompson in the title role.
