Pulse Ensemble Theatre presents Friedrich von Schiller’s epic tragedy Mary Stuart. The year is 1587. Separation of church and state does not yet exist. The audience finds themselves drawn into a complex struggle, the issues reverberating throughout the corridors of humanity’s existence. The lines are drawn and at the center stage stand two magnificent queens: Elizabeth I – Protestant and English, and Mary Stuart – Catholic and Scottish. Can mercy checkmate political machinations, or will nobler sentiments make way for expedient measures.
