This new play by Tom Ellis is inspired by the real-life events of the siege at Ruby Ridge, Montana, and the standoff between the U.S. government and the Branch Davidians at Waco, Texas. The play tells the story of a small farming community in upstate New York struggling to hold on to its faith and identity in the face of a government siege of their property. With Leatherstocking, Ellis poses the question: How will a citizen maintain his individual rights in the face of a government whose policies are dictated by the interest of corporations?
