Lady Windermere’s Fan involves a tangled web of deceptions, blackmail, and hypocrisy delightfully played during the Art Deco era. It starts with Lady Windermere receiving a fan for her birthday and then, with some help from friends, begins to suspect her husband of infidelity. From there the twists begin. Feeling betrayed, Lady Windermere decides to respond favorably to Lord Darlington’s advances. She doesn’t know that the “infamous” Mrs. Erlynne is blackmailing her husband with a secret that would ruin her emotionally as well as destroy her standing in society. Filled with added gender-bending fun, Woman Seeking is proud to present this comedy showcasing the talents of 9 women and 5 men.
