Jennifer Lacey: $$hot

Choreographer Jennifer Lacey makes her Kitchen debut with $$hot, an evening-length collaborative work with visual artist Nadia Lauro, composer/performer Zeena Parkins and performer Erin Cornell. Inspired by the body vocabulary of pornography, this show explores the relationship between the acquisitive, sexual gaze and the contemplative gaze. It uses pornography’s refined physical imagery and particular sense of narrative as points of reference to create a complex and seductive meditation on forms and ways of seeing.
