Jeeves & Wooster in America

Gotham Radio Theatre will bring Jeeves & Wooster in America to life in October with a versatile cast who all play multiple roles. Why, you may wonder, are Jeeves and Wooster in America? It has to do with dear Aunt Agatha, a family named Glossop, a broken engagement and an ill-fated theatrical career.

When Cyril Bassington-Bassington arrives in America his pal Wooster manages to introduce him to a Broadway playwright and get Cyril cast in a small role. Then a cable with implicit instructions arrives from Aunt Agatha: “When Cyril arrives on no account introduce him into theatrical circles. Vitally important. Letter follows.” Hilarity follows and it’s Jeeves to the rescue once again.

The cast includes John Rainer as Jeeves, Christopher Burke as Bertie Wooster, Richard Rice as Cyril Bassington Bassington, and Branislav Tomich as George Caffyn.
