New York City
The Jack Dallas NYC Musical Marathon presents Copper Kettle, a musical comedy presented radio style.
The heads of two feuding clans, Henry Golightly, mountaineer and moonshiner, and Dallin Dolittle, lowlander and bootlegger, battle in Tennessee, April 1933. Strangers, bootleggers, govem’nt revenuers, puppy love, corn, corn whiskey, hysterical elders, twisted historical revelations, and a presumptuous Baptist preacher come knocking. Bullets fly and grown men cry. The show features “Copper Kettle,” already recorded by Bob Dylan and Joan Baez.
