In the Company of Men (ICOM) was launched in 1994, in part, as a response to the decimation of the dance community by HIV/AIDS, Today, ICOM continues to be "a celebration of the dynamic of men dancing together, in both joyous and virtuosic terms" (The New York Times). DNA’s longest standing performance series, ICOM is a venerated showcase celebrating the male presence on stage from two perspectives: the exploration of male physicality, and investigation of the socially constructed male. With performances created and executed by men, ICOM represents the full range of male choreographic voices and styles present in the field of contemporary dance today.
