Herman Melville’s Moby-Dick

About the Show

Herman Melville’s Moby-Dick is a one-person, one-act, one-hour adaptation of the celebrated novel, first performed at the historic West End in New York City for a limited run in May, 2003, and later in Minneapolis. The novel has been adapted into a memory play which mixes humor and tragedy in telling the story of a manic sea captain, a renegade crew, and their hunt for a monstrous white whale. The structure of the play is inspired by William Faulkner’s observation of the “Greek-like simplicity” of the story. Starring and Adapted by Christopher Moore. Alex Roe directs.
