Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday is a comedy, originally produced by Rodgers and Hammerstein in 1946. Addie Bemis, a mousy librarian has fallen so in love with a young bank clerk, Paul, that she follows him to the Jersey Mecca Cocktail Bar, and has her first cocktails. The alcohol sends her spinning, and helps her to shed her inhibitions, providing a memorable evening to everyone at the Bar.
