Andrea Assaf presents the New York premiere of her newest full-length solo work, Globalicities. With three interwoven components, the production takes an anachronistic, multimedia look at war, democracy and capitalism.
The masked Angel of History dances through the maps of ages. Mad Marion struggles to answer the question: How did Robin Hood become an activist? And “Me ‘n Mama Capital” explores daughterhood, stockbrokerage and the scene of the streets since Seattle.
Globalicities is conceived, written and performed by Andrea Assaf. Collaborating artists include mask-maker Parker Pracjek, costume designer Mary Wilson, video artist Laura Newman, and digital work by the performance collective NippyDipswitch. It is presentated as part of the New York International Fringe Festival.
