About This Show

George Emilio Sanchez will go against his better judgement by reading from his stack of never-seen-the-light-of-day files. Not for reasons
you think or assume. Shame on you!

George Emilio Sanchez is a writer, performer, and educator. He has
written and performed three full-length solo pieces and the most
recent, ROSA, premiered at Dixon Place in 2002. His two other solo
performance pieces, Chief Half-Breed in the Land of In-Between and
LATINDIO have toured throughout the United States and Latin America.
For the past 9 years he has collaborated with Brazilian choreographer
Patricia Hoffbauer with whom he has created 5 major interdisciplinary
works. He is the recipient of two NYFA fellowships and is a Fulbright
Scholar. He currently teaches theater and performance at CUNY/College
of Staten Island.

The Dixon Place Veteran Series showcases downtown performers who have a history of working with Dixon Place. All of the bar and box office
income is a direct contribution to the Dixon Place capital campaign,
to complete construction of its new permanent facility on Chrystie
Street!
