Curators Christen Clifford and Tom Cole present a wide cultural and stylistic range of work, pairing boundary breaking established writers with emerging hotshots to bring audiences a cross-section of cross genre writers distinguished by their highly individual use of language. The series curators aim to involve a diverse audience in the flux of new poetic forms.

Patty Powers has worked with a myriad of seminal artists and film makers including Beth B, Charlie Atlas, Vaginal Cream Davis, and has toured extensively with performance artist Ron Athey. After years of writing for Ben is Dead, various zines, a sex advice column, and publishing porn as a hardcore leather-man, she turned her energy toward writing screenplays. Most recently, she starred in the A&E mini-series Relapse as a sober coach. Patty is currently working on “Landing on My Heels”, a collection of personal essays to prevent her newfound recovery-guru public persona from suffocating her wild-girl spirit.

McKenzie Wark’s most recent book is The Beach Beneath The Street (Verso), a history of the Situationist International. ( “A beautifully written, exciting and broad study, one that may perhaps become a definitive introduction to the SI.” -MUTE) He is the author of A Hacker Manifesto, Gamer Theory, 50 Years of Recuperation of the Situationist International and other books. He teaches at the New School for Social research and Eugene Lang College in New York City.
