About This Show

Yankee Rep presents Dark Corners, ?4 short plays with an edge,? as the opening production of its 2002-2003 theatrical season. All four plays were developed through Yankee Rep?s new Playwrights Circle program, which provides writers with on-going internal readings and critiques.

In Father and Son, by Joe Murphy, a dangerous filial relationship plays out at a roadside motel. In Terese Pampellonne?s Conditional Commitment, two couples grapple with the repercussions of procreative choices. In The Kindling Effect, by Linda Holland Rathkopf, a missing umbrella is the unlikely catalyst for revealing an upscale couple?s personal tragedy. Quitters, by Sergio Cacciotti, explores the true cost of smoking cessation in the dark and comic world of two young slackers.
