The real-life story of Florence Kelley, from a midnight tour of steel processing factories, to the halls of the Supreme Court, Florence Kelley is an unsung hero of our past.
Florence Kelley’s greatest legacy was her example of unflaggling zeal and lifetime fidelity in the cause of justice for those oppressed by the worst excesses of early capitalism –children. in spite of her naturally impatient temperament, Florence Kelley remained a faithful fighter for a just society until her death in 1932 at the age of 74.
The Metropolitan Playhouse brings her back to life for one night…
