Bridges

The Snow White Company, in association with Alison Tassie, will present Bridges, two one-act comedy/dramas by Lionel Kranitz. The first piece Reach Out and Touch Someone, a young man named Neil makes an obscene phone call to a senior citizen named Ida. Rather than emitting a horrified screech or hanging up, Ida engages the young man in conversation and they amusingly discuss their surprisingly similar lives. The second play, You and the Night and the Music, is about an accountant named Bernard who has a secret life – on weekends, he puts on a pair of pumps and paints the town red as Bernice, a cross-dresser whose only true friend is a cab-driver. Every Friday night for the past five years they have had a “date” to drive around town and talk.
