About This Show

The Morphic Group presents a new poem play written by Donald Horwitz. Bereft focuses on Queen Dido and her immoderate lust. She entagles herself with Aeneas, a Trojan shipwrecked on his way to find Italy, despite her premonitions of a dark ending. The Goddesses, Venus and Hera, encourage this union temporarily for political reasons. But when it comes time for Aeneas to continue on his mission, Queen Dido will be left with stakes much greater than the anger of the gods. Angela Delichatsios directs.
