This comic and touching look at a young woman’s coming of age spans five years between a mother’s suicide and her daughter’s wedding. As 12 year-old Beatrice is left stranded at her mother’s gravesite in the bitter winter of Timmins, Ontario, the dreams and disappointments of three generations of women come alive.
