About This Show

A…My Name is Alice is a musical revue, conceived by Joan Micklin Smith and Julianne Boyd, of 20 songs and sketches that culminate in a celebration of modern womanhood that is not for women only. From “Hot Lunch,” a sketch presenting a woman’s riotous reprisal towards a construction worker’s whistles, to “Pretty Young Men,” a saucy showstopper about three woman at a male strip club, to “Friends,” a song about the poignancy of the lifelong relationship between two women, this show is an illuminating journey through the problems and pleasures of being a woman.
