About This Show

Accused of murdering her husband, acquitted by a jury, and stoned by the public, Alma Rattenbury finds herself imprisoned in a library with none other than Virginia Woolf: writer, feminist, life-long victim of insanity. Alma’s confrontational thoughts on sex, love, war and death at first shock and then intrigue Mrs. Woolf. A world premiere by French-Canadian playwright, Anne Legault (whose play O’Neill premiered at Blue Heron two years ago), Alma & Mrs. Woolf is the story of two extraordinary women struggling to take control of their lives and their destinies.

SPECIAL EVENT–a reading in the original French of Alma & Mrs. Woolf on Saturday, March 29 at 2PM — in the Studio Theatre at the Blue Heron Arts Center.
