About This Show

Please note A THOUGHT ABOUT RAYA has moved to a new theater for the remainder of the run. Performances scheduled for The Red Room will now be at CSV – Milagro Theater. For more information please call 917-880-4105.

A Thought About Raya is an original play that uses the writings of Russian author, poet and performer Daniil Kharms to tell the story of a man who needs a miracle. Matching the jolting rhythm of Kharms’ language, the piece is a series of collisions of violent, darkly humorous fragments which create a frenetic world of hunger, obsessive love, and unachieved miracles.

A Thought About Raya is performed and created by Hannah Bos and Paul Thureen from the writings of Daniil Kharms. Oliver Butler directs.
