About the Show

The Recession Carnival presents 600 Days of Pain, a new comedy about a jobless Hero braving the circus of the New Economy. The original script was written by Gene Perelson and Jamil Ellis. This production was created with Jaime Andrews and under the creative direction of Chris Chan Roberson and will be performed by Ellis, Perelson, and Andrews.

Hero wanders through his day as anyone without a job might: sending resumes, going on interviews, and networking. What Hero does not realize, however, is that he is living in the Recession Carnival. In Hero’s world, the interviewers quite literally throw knives. The show is a comic look at the tragic reality of the worst job market since the end of the Second World War.

Schedule: March 11-15th and 17-20th at 8 pm.
