The Immigrant

Randal Myler directs The Immigrant, a new musical that inaugerates the CAP21 Theater. Haskell Harelik is a young Russian Jew who struggles to assimilate into a rural community in Texas. As part of the “Galveston Movement,” Harelik’s story begins with him peddling a pushcart full of bananas and is changed forever when he asks Milton, a small-town banker, and his Southern Baptist wife for a drink of water from their well. Evan Pappas stars as Haskell.
