Robert Wilson and Lou Reed collaborate on POEtry. The performance, featuring book, music, and lyrics by Reed and direction and design by Wilson, takes a surreal and visually ravishing excursion into the mind of America?s most otherworldly writer, Edgar Allan Poe. It is a chillingly beautiful place, marked by color-saturated landscapes, claustrophobia-inducing compart-ments, levitating brides, and huge hovering eyeballs that open and close.
