The week-long program will consist of three works for men by men: The line up includes Eleo Pomare’s 1983 work, “Back to Bach” (reconstructed 2003), which he describes as a “luminous celebration of dance and the music of J. S. Bach”. The second ballet for the men of PHILADANCO is a new work “Blue” by the young choreographer Christopher Huggins, and will feature former company member Zane Booker. The third is a solo “Sweet in the Morning,” remounted from a Labonation score, and choreographed by the late Leni Wylliams, an accomplished dancer and choreographer who founded the Kansas City based Wylliams/Henry Dance Theatre in 1991.
