Canadian playwright Marty’s Chan’s popular Mom, Dad, I’m Living With a White Girl, is a clever, fast-paced satire dealing with interracial dating that leaps back and forth between reality and film noir fantasy. Mark must confront his traditional Chinese parents about his Caucasian live-in girlfriend. Knowing that his parents will disapprove, his fears manifest themselves as a B-movie satire about the Yellow Claw, a warlord bent on world domination. In this wild comedy about race, relationships, and shuriken throwing stars, Mark’s worlds of reality and fantasy face off in an all out battle for Mark’s soul.
