Composed of fifteen classically-trained actors from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, the Acting Shakespeare Company makes its American debut with Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure, a timeless exploration of moral degradation and corruption, personal versus public agendas, and the social ramifications of living in a restrictive regime. This production uses blind gender casting and multiple actors playing the same role to explicate the process. Nona Shepphard directs.
There are additional performances on Sundays, April 21 and May 5 at 6:00pm and Sunday, April 28 at 3:00pm and 7:00pm.
