Playwrights Horizons celebrates the opening of its new home on 42nd Street with a series of its classic shows, and opens the company’s intimate Peter Jay Sharp Theater with Christopher Durang’s Laughing Wild. A comic study of the perils of modern life in urban America (waiting in line, rude taxi drivers, and inane talk shows), the play consists of two monologues (one for a woman and one for a man) and the playlet that brings the two together with a wicked twist. Original cast members Durang and E. Katherine Kerr star.
