The National Black Theatre, Inc., Dr. Barbara Ann Teer – Founder & CEO, presents
the primary power behind the legend Dorothy Dandridge: Before, After and Now, A Tribute To Mothers. This is a story about Dorothy Dandridge and her mother, Ruby Dandridge who was the power that pushed Ms. Dandridge up the ladder to become the first black female Hollywood Superstar nominated for an Academy Award in 1955. The two of them became living legends both in the field of entertainment and in the movie industry. It is an evening of joy and inspiration.
