About the Show
Joanna Merlin stars in this one-act, one-woman show. Based on an actual diary, the piece vividly evokes the daily life of an elderly Brooklyn woman from the 1970’s, then soars off in surprising directions — including the flowing verses of Walt Whitman. Playwright Ellen Cassedy won a Moondance Festival Award for this poignant and unusual piece, which is enjoying its New York debut. Amy Feinberg (Hypothetical Theatre Co.) directs. A benefit for Hypothetical Outreach Programs.
