Maurice and friends — including Chita Rivera, Mercedes Ellington and Debbie Allen — tell tales from his seven-decade career (from Broadway productions to Hollywood films such as Francis Ford Coppola’s The Cotton Club). The film also sheds light on Maurice’s loving yet difficult relationship with his superstar brother, the late Gregory Hines.
