New York City
This piece is a performance of Jean Cocteau and Franics Poulenc's La Voix Humaine. The piece is traditionally directed with realism, but we're interested in expressing the character's psychology in the moment through stage picture, lighting, and scenic design in an expressionistic style. Exploring the idea of limerence; how one can build a fantasy of someone in their mind, and how that can suddenly turn into nightmare when the real person's actions don't align.
