New York City
The Elan Awards Master Class Series is a two day dance extravaganza for
dancers ages 9-18. Students participate in three master classes per
day, taught by some of New York’s top teachers. The Elan Awards Master
Class Series is geared toward educating young dancers not only on technique, placement, style, energy and focus, but also how to approach “The Business.”
At the end of each Master Class day, a New York talent agent is invited as
a guest speaker to enlighten the students and parents on the dance world and Show Business.
The first class of the day begins promptly at 10 a.m. and students continue
to work until 1:00 and then break for an hour lunch. The last class starts
at 2:00 and then there is the presentation from 3:30-4:00. Participants
are encouraged to come and see The Elan Awards which takes place on the
Monday night. Tickets are sold separately for The Elan Awards Show but it would be a great experience for the students to attend. For any
additional information or questions regarding the Elan Awards Master Class
Series please contact its director, Kathleen McAree at: Kathleen_McAree@hotmail.com
