About the Show

This captivating, moving, and tuneful musical adaptation of Alan Lightman’s international bestselling novel imagines the mind-bending sort of dreams Einstein might have been having during the months prior to the publication of his Special Theory of Relativity. Guided by a mysterious and beautiful woman who appears in each dream, Einstein steps ever closer toward his radical re-imagining of space and time, and at the same time gains a deeper understanding of love than he has ever experienced before. This special concert performance is a benefit for The Harpswell Foundation.

Tony Award-nominee Gregg Edelman (A tale of Two cities, Into the Woods) will play Albert Einstein in this benefit concert. Joining him in the cast will be Kate Shindle (Legally Blonde), John Treacy Egan (The Little Mermaid), and Alison Fraser (Gypsy).

Proceeds from the concert will benefit The Harpswell Foundation, an organization created by Lightman in 1999 to provide educational support, housing, and leadership training to young women in the developing world, notably in Cambodia.
