About this show

The classic story of how the disfigured genius, poet and dashing swordsman, Cyrano, falls in love with Roxanne only to find she is in love with Christian de Neuvillette will tear at your heart strings as at the end the truth behind his unrequited love comes out as he draws his dying breath. Embarrassed by his large nose, Cyrano a romantic poet/soldier romances his cousin by proxy. Aptly enough for a theatre work that is full of it, this is the play that gave us the current meaning of the word, Panache, which originally meant a plume of feathers. Packed with dazzling poetry and word play from our hero Cyrano, this play produces a range of emotions that run from funny to sad and finally tragic.
