About This Show

Roundabout Theatre Company presents a new Broadway production of Athol Fugard’s drama “Master Harold”…and the boys, starring Danny Glover as Sam, Michael Boatman as Willie and Christopher Denham as Hally. Lonny Price directs.

The play explores a young white man’s coming of age in
1950s apartheid South Africa. Sam and Willie, two middle-aged black men, are servants at the St. George’s Park Tea Room owned by the parents of Hally (“Master Harold”), a 17 year old white boy. Hally has been confronted with two very different role models for his imminent adulthood: his bigoted
drunken father, and the black man who has been his friend and lifelong mentor. By the end of the day, his life course has been set in motion on an unexpected path.

There are 7:00pm curtains from July 8-11.

Half-priced student tickets are available at the box office one half-hour before the performance, limit 1 per valid ID.

Children under 4 are not permitted in the theater.
