Joan Allen, Carl Hancock Rux, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Rocco Sisto, Peter Strauss, and Rachel Ticotin are among the performers in A City Reimagined.
Within days of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, interviewers were employed across the city by Columbia’s Oral History Research Office to begin collecting the accounts and observations of hundreds of people from a diverse mix of New York neighborhoods and backgrounds. The actors will read from these first-hand accounts.
In addition, Award-winning writer Carl Hancock Rux will perform an original spoken word piece commissioned by The Greene Space with accompaniment by cellist/trombonist Dana Leong.
