Mad Science – Movie Magic

The State Theatre presents Mad Science – Movie Magic, The Science Behind the Movies. Join Professor Pruvitt and his friend Crash for a high-tech Hollywood adventure. When they stumble upon a wacky movie set, they call upon members of the audience to be the actors, sound mixers, lighting operators, cameramen, gaffers, special effects coordinators, and director to create a short feature film. In front of a state-of-the-art “green screen,” the student actors get to star in a famous Hollywood film, selected by the audience. In the process of inserting the student actors into a brief scene from the movie, Pruvitt and Crash illuminate the science behind the art of filmmaking.
