About This Show

Dubbed by Arturo Toscanini “the greatest voice of the 20th century,” Mario Lanza, a native of Philadelphia, was one of America’s most successful singers and movie stars in the years immediately following World War II. In 1947, movie studio MGM gave Lanza an offer he simply could not refuse. The rest is cinematic and musical history. This rousing musical revue features the repertoire of one of the 20th Century’s most beloved voices along with the popular romantic star of such movie musicals as The Student Prince; The Great Caruso; and Desert Song. The concert stars three of New Jersey’s favorite tenors, including Jon Darios, Dennis Driskill and Dan Yates along with comedian, Jim Folly.
