About This Show

Montclair State University presents Amajuba by writer/director Yael Farber. Amajuba is the impacting dramatization of five young people’s tales about growing up in the violent and impoverished world of Apartheid era South Africa. Told mostly in English, these survivors offer vivid and immediate accounts of the struggles through hardship against all odds with a potent mix of story, song, prayer, resilience and a spirited determination to move forward.
