About This Show

Alice Cooper, the iconic hard rocker, literally invented the concept of the rock concert as theater. With a stage show that features guillotines, electric chairs, fake blood and boa constrictors, Alice drew equally from horror movies, vaudeville, heavy metal and garage rock to create a theatrical brand of rock music that would come to be known as shock rock.

Alice had a monster hit in 1971 entitled, “I’m Eighteen” from the album Love it to Death. “School’s Out” which was a bigger single followed in 1972. Alice’s solo career began with the 1975 concept album Welcome to My Nightmare. Spearheaded by the US Top 20 hit “Only Women Bleed,” a ballad, the solo album became a Top 10 hit for Alice.
